Take My Shoe!

\r\nBefore the old lady lived in the shoe, she lived in a house on Bloom Avenue.
\r\nIt was a nice, little house, with a nice, little yard, with trees, flowers, swings, and a small racetrack for toy cars.
\r\nThe old lady smiled from her porch, eyes scanning over the scene as her kids played, a dozen happy faces, their excitement on full display.
\r\nRunning around, full of joy, the old lady felt that her and her children’s lives were truly blessed. Then, a day came, that threw them all into distress.
\r\nThe old lady’s landlord changed, and she received a notice ordering her and her children out. With no other choice, they were forced to pack up all their things, and left with cries and a pout.
\r\n“We need a new home” the old lady said. “ A place for my children to grow up and play. A place filled with warmth and comfort where we can forever stay.”
\r\nDetermined, they traveled and searched, journeying restlessly from town to town, but a new home was just not around.
\r\nResting in a field, the old lady stopped with her children and decided to cook. Just as she finished and began to serve lunch to the kids, the whole ground shook.
\r\nA giant had come up, while taking a walk in the field, and stopped, when he caught the scent of the old lady’s meal.
\r\nThe giant was kind, and the old lady shared. The children played with the giant and treated him fair.
\r\nWhile eating, the old lady spun out her sad tale of woe, about how they were evicted, and no longer had a home.
\r\nThe giant tapped his head in thought, wondering what he could do. He thought and thought, until his eyes glanced at his shoe.
\r\nA big O’ boot, so weary and worn, would make a perfect shelter in any storm.
\r\nThe giant went to work, and started making the old boot into a home. When it was finally finished, he didn’t cheer alone.
\r\nThe old lady thanked the giant, and the big guy took his leave, proud of the good deed he managed to achieve.
\r\nThe End
